Happy 4th of July from the Entertainer!

Welcome back, everyone!

These past few weeks have shown some great reports for the charter fishing fleet in our area. Red and vermillion snapper continue to be the main focus for most trips, with a good mix of black and lane snapper showing up as well. If you’re extra lucky, you may get your chance to bring home a scamp grouper. The last week produced multiple unicorn filefish as well, which are easily one of the coolest fish in the Gulf to see in person. With plenty of other “throwbacks” being landed, fishing out of the Pensacola area has been great lately.

Summer time is definitely here with things heating up from the upcoming Fourth of July weekend festivities! With the Fourth right around the corner, now is the time to plan for your holiday fun. We will have an 8 hour walk on trip open for the holiday, with multiple options for 6 hour trips throughout the week to best fit your schedule. Everything you need for a fun day on the water is provided from rod and reel, tackle, bait, fish cleaning, and ice. The only things you need to bring for yourself or your group are a cooler for light snacks and drinks, sunscreen, and a pair of sunglasses. With cold AC inside the cabin to escape the midday heat and plenty of room to sit in the shade, we offer a level of comfort that not many charter boats in our area can provide to you and your family!

There is still plenty of time to target red snapper for the next month, and then we will get to target triggerfish as well as amberjack once again. The fall time trolling bite tends to be at its best too once we move away from the summer months. No matter the time of year, there is always plenty of fish to be caught. There will be a short window for gag grouper season for 2024 starting September 1st, so get your trip reserved while there is still room! Early fall time is a great time of year for charter fishing since it isn’t quite as hot, but the fishing is still great. We still have limited availability for the October jigging only 36 hour trip for our most diehard of fisherman out there.
